1. UNCF Merck Science Initiative (MSI) Scholarship: $25,000, renewable for up to four years. This scholarship is open to African American high school seniors who intend to pursue a major in the life sciences, bioengineering, or biotechnology. 2. Gates Millennium Scholars Program: Up to $20,000 per year. This scholarship program is open to African American students who demonstrate high academic and leadership potential, and a commitment to community service. 3. National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) Scholarships: Up to $20,000. This scholarship is open to African American students who intend to pursue a degree in engineering or a related field. 4. The Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship: Up to $30,000 over four years. This scholarship is open to African American high school seniors who demonstrate leadership potential, financial need, and a commitment to community service. 5. The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) Scholarship: Up to $5,000. This scholarship is open to African American students who are enrolled in an accredited college or university and demonstrate financial need. 6. Ford Fund HBCU Scholarship: The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) and Ford offer financial assistance to outstanding students attending one of TMCF’s member schools that include 47 publicly-supported Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Predominantly Black Institutions (PBIs). Eight (8) scholars will be selected to receive a fall need-based scholarship up to $5,000.
