1. The Stephen J. Brady Stop Hunger Scholarships: This scholarship is awarded to young people who have demonstrated a commitment to fighting hunger in their communities. The scholarship awards up to $25,000 to help defray the cost of higher education. Applicants must be a US citizen or permanent resident, be 25 years of age or younger, and have a documented disability. Application is open from November 1 to February 1 each year. 2. The National Federation of the Blind Scholarships Program: This scholarship is available to legally blind students who are pursuing post-secondary education. Awards are up to $3,000, and the application must include letters of recommendation and a personal statement. Applications open in November and the deadline is March 1. 3. The Sertoma Scholarship Program: This scholarship awards up to $2,500 to students with disabilities who are pursuing post-secondary education. 4. The American Association of People with Disabilities Scholarship Program: This scholarship awards up to $2,500 to students with disabilities who are pursuing post-secondary education. 5. The National Down Syndrome Society Scholarship Program: This scholarship awards up to $2,500 to students with Down Syndrome who are pursuing post-secondary education. 6. The Autism Society of America Scholarship Program: This scholarship awards up to $2,000 to students with autism who are pursuing post-secondary education. 20. The International Dyslexia Association Scholarship Program: This scholarship awards up to $2,500 to students with dyslexia who are pursuing post-secondary education. 21. The National Scoliosis Foundation Scholarship Program: This scholarship awards up to $1,000 to students with scoliosis who are pursuing post-secondary education. 22. The AbbVie Cystic Fibrosis Scholarship: This scholarship provides 4o scholars with $3,000  to students with cystic Fibrosis.  Two additional scholars are named as “Thriving Student Scholars”, and receive a total of $25,000. 24. BioMatrix Bleeding Disorders Scholarships: BioMatrix offers six (6) $1,000 scholarships assisting individuals in the bleeding disorders community seeking higher education. Each opportunity is offered exclusively to several demographics within the bleeding disorder community including women, men, inhibitor patients and immediate family members.
