Alica Schmidt is a German track and field athlete specializing in sprinting events, particularly the 400 meters. Born on November 8, 1998, in Worms, Germany, she began her athletic career training at MTV Ingolstadt. Schmidt first gained international recognition at the 2017 European Athletics U20 Championships, where she was part of the German 4 × 400 meters relay team that secured a silver medal. She continued her success by earning a bronze medal in the same event at the 2019 European Athletics U23 Championships.
In 2020, Schmidt expanded her role in athletics by serving as a fitness coach for the Bundesliga football club Borussia Dortmund. She was selected for the German relay squad at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo; however, she did not compete in any events during the Games.
At the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, Schmidt competed in the mixed 4 × 400 meters relay. The German team finished seventh in their heat and did not advance to the finals. Following the Olympics, Schmidt announced a transition in her athletic focus from the 400 meters to the 800 meters event, aiming to enhance her endurance capabilities.
