There are several factors that are taken into account for Pell Grant eligibility.
1. You can not be in default on a student loan or have a Pell overpayment.
2. You must be attending a school that participates in Title IV programs.
3. You must be an undergraduate or participating in an eligible post-baccalaureate teaching certification program. Students who have already received their bachelor’s degree or are working on a graduate degree are not eligible for the Pell Grant.
4. You cannot be incarcerated.
5. You must have financial need.
6. Your EFC must be under $5,730.
7. As with all student aid programs, you must be following satisfactory academic progress at the school you are attending.
